Release Notes

Dr. Christoph H. Larsen presented Bika Health 0.3 for public health laboratories to the Caribbean Cytometry & Analytical Society's (CCAS) for the first time at their 7th HIV/AIDS workshop in Barbados under the banner Strengthening through the development of Laboratory Information Systems in Barbados 25 August 2010

The last many months were mostly spent on migrating the Bika LIMS 3 trunk, incorporating some Health features, but there was not much to report re. Health releases. We are getting ready to do the very Health specifics again. Please post your feature requests now.

Regardless, Dr. Uditha Perera successfully piloted Bika Health 0.3 at the Sri Lanka Medical Research Institute, where the system was found to comply with 95% of requirements. Met with high levels of user enthusiasm and satisfaction, it was taken into production in the MRI's pharmacology and biochemistry departments.

Writes Dr. Perera: " We have been amazed at the stability and functionality of Bika Health 0.3. We upgraded our project from pilot to production without any major problem. To be frank, in the 1 & 1/2 years I have been involved with it, I only encountered one major bug, that too triggered by a user error. It was promptly fixed by the developers."
