General

HACCP · Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point #
a systematic method used in the food industry to identify potential food safety hazards, so that key actions, known as Critical Control Points (CCP's), can be taken to reduce or eliminate the risk of the hazards being realised. The system is used at all stages of food production and preparation processes. www.wikipedia.org
microbiological culture, microbial culture #
a method of growing a microbial organism to determine what it is, its abundance in the sample being tested, or both. It is one of the primary diagnostic methods of microbiology. It is often used a tool to determine the cause of infectious disease by letting the agent multiply (reproduce) in predetermined media in laboratory. www.wikipedia.org

CFU · Colony Forming Units #
a measurement used to count the number of bacteria colonies found in water. www.ccmaui.com
