Please review our User specification for Bika LIMS 2.2

Unique to this design is processing all analyses strictly in client Order context and assigning a staff member per order as contact for the client. Is this a general requirement? Your comment please

An extra state is added at the start of workflow for the approval of a Chain of custody certificate describing the condition of the samples at receipt and listing analyses ordered - this has to be approved by the counter party to the submitter of the order before analysis can kick off

We aim to leave these features configurable as we have not find it to be a common requirement but your feedback will be hugely appreciated

Is managing Change requests a common requirement?

Development co-sponsorship seeked

The Instrument maintenance module, categorising analysis services and prioritising urgent analyses we found to be more general requirements. Are there any Bika users out there requiring these or any of the other proposed development items in the near future and interested in co-sponsoring development thereof?

Please bear in mind that the specification document is dynamic and will be updated from time to time. Known gaps, and to which you may want to contribute your opinion, are:

Invoice export format - 2.2, like 2.1, will do Pastel 7 exports

Facilitating taxes per country, province and municipality. Zero
vatting government clients

Instrument calibration events

Any others identified by yourself
