Bika, LIMS and ISO 17025
A 2005 version of of the ISO/IEC standard 17025 'General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories' has been published in May. With no changes to technical requirements. A document has been posted at the Bika SourceForge community site, inviting discussion towards a simple LIMS extract acceptable internationally
Web based models present security challenges and current Bika measures
improve on the ISO specification in many aspects but some elements need to
be elaborated
