Bika at e-health conference in Peru
The Bika Health Foundation's lemoene Smit and dr. Chris Larsen will be taking part in the “Tecnologías de Información, como Herramienta en la Salud e Inclusión Social 2012” conference, Lima, Peru from 12 to 14 April next week
The event, "Information Technology as Health and Social Inclusion Tool", is sponsored by Peru's national social security agency, EsSalud, in association with the government office for informatics, ONGEI, with the objective of establishing a comprehensive public health care administration system (SINPA)
The conference aims to combine EsSalud and ONGEI's individual efforts in health technology management, drawing from the experience and applications developed by other public and private non-profit organisations, both national and international. In practice, the conference's purpose is to inform, discuss, evaluate and approve the development of a SINPA ERP
The meeting will at first diagnose issues and consider solutions to them through presentations by EsSalud and international experts, before discussing the project's schedule, priorities and financial aspects, as well as technical topics such as connectivity, medical records, databases, administration and telemedicine
