APHL, The Association of Public Health Laboratories, the United States Government (USG) and the Vietnam Administration of HIV/AIDS Control/Ministry of Health host  the meeting in Hanoi, Vietnam from September 23 – 26, 2008

VAAC logoThe goals for this meeting are to provide participants with information on best practices and capabilities of LIS to guide them in developing LIS in their countries;  to share experiences and lessons learned; an opportunity to ask questions and discuss the challenges and costs of LIS with others who have implemented LIS; examine and discuss available commercial and open source LIS software; and to discuss technical issues around the interaction of LIS and electronic medical record systems
