Bika sponsors SA Spectroscopy Society
SASEV, SAWLA and now SASS. The South African Spectroscopic Society joins Bika's portfolio of national scientific organisations
The South African Spectroscopic Society (SASS) is a non-profit organisation which was established in 1969 with the objective to further the exchange spectroscopy knowledge by means of conferences, meetings and publications, and to promote research, study and the use and application of spectroscopy at universities, technikons, research laboratories and industry
The Society is associated with the South African Chemical Institute and the South African Institute of Physics for purposes of closer collaboration between disciplines
Members of the Society are active in both local and international conferences, and the Society is represented at the meetings of National Delegates of Spectroscopists held at the biennial conferences of the Colloquium Spectroscopicum Internationale (CSI)
Bika will provide SASS with training and content management services for a new web portal including Knowledge Centre and integrated Newsletter
