Bika technical training 6 - 17 August
Bika LIMS experts are presenting a 2 week course early August on using Bika LIMS, its systems administration and programming principles. Maximum 5 trainees - book your place now!
The course is presented in Pringle Bay near Cape Town and participants accommodated in a guest house converted into training facility without restriction on individuals wanting to work informally. All lectures will be in hands-on workshop format with more than one lecturer available to assist trainees in applying course work on their own installations
With all course material covered, participants will be assisted with programming their own functional requirements and have development stubs in place that can be completed, if they wish, with continued assistance on the Bika developers list after the course. Trainees are encouraged to define their own objectives before the course starts to help optimise the course to their full benefit
Course presenters are lemoene Smit, Inus Scheepers, Anneline Sweetnam and Campbell McKellar-Basset - Bika's LIMS analyst, Technical director, Development manager and lead Bika 3 developer respectively
Assistance in Spanish: Though the course is presented in English, Jordi Puiggené who did the Spanish and Catalan translations for Bika 3, is attending and will assist in Spanish where required
